Ha én rózsa volnék versfordítások, 12.A

A fordítások a 12.

If I were a rose

If I were a rose, I’d bloom more than once,
My flowers would blossom every three months,
Bloom for a Mister, bloom for a Miss,
Bloom for true love, bloom for times you’ll miss.

If I were a gateway, entry would be free,
Wherever they’d come from, whoever they’d be,
I wouldn’t ask them by whom they were sent,
If everyone were there, I’d be deeply blessed.

If I were a window, I’d be such size
You’d see the whole world, oh that would be a sight!
With understanding eyes they’d gaze right through me,
I would be happy if they had everything to see.

If I were a street, my cobbles would shine bright,
In moonlight I’d bathe them, each and every night,
And if there came a time when tracks stomp my tiles,
the earth below me would crumble midst gloomy cries.

If I were a flag, I would never float,
Every little breeze I would frankly loathe,
My joy would be true with my edges pinned,
I wouldn’t be the plaything of every little wind.
Krausz Zsófia Éva:

If I were your rose

If I were your rose, I wouldn’t bloom just once,
Seasonly would I fall into colored flowers,
Bloom for the charming man and the pretty woman,
For the faithful adoration and the peaceful end.

If I were your gateway, I would linger open,
You could come from anywhere, I would let you in,
Never would I question where you have arrived from,
I am only merry if you’re the one to welcome.

If I were your window, I would be the greatest,
I would be visible from all over the planet,
You could see through me with empathetic eyes,
I am only merry if you have seen what’s mine.

If I were your road, I would be immaculate,
Every single evening I would dive in luster,
And if ever sprockets trod over me,
The ground below my feet would collapse in tears.

If I were your banner, I would never wave,
Any kind of wind I would be angered with
I’d be merry only if you had me braced,
I would not be anymore plaything for your wind.
Arany Márton, Saly Attila, Tenyei-Tóth Botond, Tímár Gergő, Zolta Szabolcs Merse:

If I were a rose

If I were a rose, I would always be blooming,
Four times a year my petals would be growing,
Blooming for the boy and blooming for the girl, too,
For real love and for the time that passes through.

If I were a gate, I’d always be open,
From anywhere they’d come, I’d let anyone in,
I wouldn’t ask them ’Well, who sent you here?’
If everyone came, I’d only be happy.

If I were a window, I would be so giant
That the whole world could hear all things that are quiet,
With understanding eyes they’d see through me,
If I have shown everything, I’d only be happy.

If I were a street, I would always be flawless,
Every night in the light I’d take a holy bath,
And if some day a tank would push me to the cold floor
The soil underneath me would collapse in world war.

If I were a flag, I’d never be floating,
I would hate every wind that the cold air’s blowing,
If they finally stretched me, I’d only be happy
And wouldn’t be a toy for any kind of playing.
